Coupled with trends toward increased survival, dentists will be seeing an increasing number of patients in their practice who have been diagnosed with cancer and are due to start cancer treatment. Dr. Erin Watson discusses the important dental assessments prior to treatment.

The goal of this course is to provide the dentist with fundamental knowledge to allow them to safely prepare their patients dentally to undergo cancer treatment. C

  • The importance of a pre-chemotherapy dental assessment to eliminate possible sources of infection
  • A complete blood count and how it should be interpreted in a private practice setting
