Your patient has a very large cavity that extends way more subgingival than you like to treat. You are worried about marginal seal and potential microleakage in the future. Ideally you would like to do a crown or an onlay but how would you isolate properly during the cementation?

Dr. Matt Nejad has a great margin elevation technique that is reliable, easy to perform and can lead to very successful restorations. By elevating the margin, you can easily get a good seal between your crown/onlay margin and the tooth. Moreover, you can avoid a crown-lengthening procedure by using this technique.
